Our Story
Welcome to Small Town Hand Crafts, where the simple beauty of small-town living meets the artistry of handmade treasures. Established in 2023, our family-owned business is nestled just outside of the town of Deary, Idaho, and is a testament to the dreams and creativity of the Salmeri Family. Small Town Hand Crafts was born from the shared vision of the Salmeri Family, with Kaitlynn leading the way at the age of 18. Inspired by a small dream to bring to life a personality by weaving a basket. She enjoys seeing people happy by the products they purchase and from the warmth of a close-knit community, we embarked on a journey to create personalized handmade baskets and crafted candles that capture the essence of our beloved small town.
Our Community
Established in 1907 at the foothills of Spud Hill by William Deary, our town is a living testament to a vibrant lumber industry and a rich cultural heritage. With over 500 residents, Deary, Idaho, is undergoing a revival, and we, the community, are at the heart of it. Drawing inspiration from our town's legacy, we celebrate the resurgence of Deary's small-town charm. As we embrace our past and shape the future, we stand united, weaving a new chapter with resilience, camaraderie, and the warmth of community.
